IPS (In-Plane Switching) panels typically offer 178° viewing angles with minimal color shift. TN (Twisted Nematic) panels are cheaper but may show significant color degradation when viewed from the side.
For accurate testing, view the screen from different angles while keeping the center as reference. Any color shift, brightness reduction, or contrast loss indicates limited viewing angle performance.
